Abhishek Banerjee alleged that BJP workers attacked TMC MP Mitali Bag during campaigning in Hooghly, saying, "They (BJP) started the game by attacking our MP Mitali Bag. We will end it on 4th May."
After visiting Bag in hospital, he warned of a political response, as the MP claimed her car was targeted during campaigning and blamed BJP workers.
Ravi Kishan claimed the BJP will win “over 200 seats” in West Bengal, asserting that “the whole of Bengal is making this change.”
Addressing media in Kolkata, he said, “a time of peace will come for the mafia and goons here; the time of rest has come for Didi (Mamata Banerjee)...,” targeting Mamata Banerjee and drawing parallels with Uttar Pradesh post-2017.

BJP leader and Bhabanipur candidate Suvendu Adhikari campaigned in the constituency on Monday, the last day of campaigning before the second and final phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged voters in West Bengal to support the BJP to bring a “double-engine government” in the state. Addressing a rally in Barrackpore, he said electing a BJP chief minister would accelerate development projects, including the expansion of the Kolkata Metro and a wider network of electric buses.
